Books, magazines, catalogs, annual reports. Throughout past work, I have been involved in all aspects of publication design; handling design, direction, printing, editing, and copywriting. My roles have been equally varied and I have completed several projects as both lead creative and project manager. I have also collaborated as part of a team to manage and integrate content from teams featuring copywriters, photographers, illustrators.

Readability, information hierarchy, and excellent typography are the hallmarks of quality typographic work. Many printed items in our daily lives appear lacking for this very reason. This is especially true of publication design. With a greater amount of content, there comes a greater need for all three of the attributes I listed. Regardless of scope or budget, I strive to add this attention to detail to every publication I work with.

Visual design, browser compatibility edits, site maintenance (updates), & programming (dependent upon request*). I specialize, and work primarily, in front-end design, development, and maintenance. Although HTML and CSS are traditionally my focus, I also have a background in WordPress (see below).

*Note: My programming experience is largely related to WordPress (setup, template editing, MySQL administration, etc.), I have limited experience in other PHP frameworks and ASP.NET as well. For advanced custom functionality, languages not listed above, and complex site functionality (ex: e-commerce websites), I will be happy to refer a developer who can collaborate with us to meet your specific needs.

Posters, brochures, mailers, billboards, banners, invitations, announcements All of the printed items you need to make your business, service, or event get noticed. I can work with you to develop projects ranging from a basic poster or brochure to entire promotional campaigns. Additional samples (outside of portfolio gallery content) are available for any of the above categories, contact me to inquire.

Outside of business materials, I also provide personal promotional items. Personal event invitations, announcements, and banners can be developed and printed through me. For more complex or custom projects such as wedding stationary, invitations, and announcements, please contact me with specific details about your idea. Signs, clothing, labels, packaging, vehicle graphics, specialty print setup* On the subject print design, I have worked on every type of project imaginable. That translates to substantial professional experience creating custom printed work suited for any medium. Working with print has always been a passion of mine. This interest led me to explore additional education in the technical and production aspects of printing. To date, I have firsthand experience in screen printing, offset printing, print management, and pre-press setup.

As a result, I have an advanced knowledge of developing solutions to meet client needs while also accounting for any technical requirements of the chosen print medium. Design consultation, photography, photo retouching & restoration Not everyone has the budget available for a large design project. Knowing this, I offer design consultation services. This means that you’ll get my background, advice, and experience at a much lower cost. I can aid you by serving as art director, or simply as a consultant to help you achieve the highest quality product your budget allows, in the format (and/or quantity) you need, all in the shortest time possible.

Photography is a interest, hobby, and skill of mine. I am available to do limited shoots, but not major events (such as weddings). I opt for natural lighting when at all possible and am most experienced in outdoor portraiture. While you note several examples of studio photography I’ve done in my portfolio, I don’t currently offer studio sessions (outdoor and on-site only).

Photo restoration & retouching were my first experiences with digital graphic arts. It should be no surprise then, that I have honed these skills considerably. To put this into a different context, I have been developing these skills since long, long before “Photoshop” was considered a verb. Looking beyond typical photo editing, I can restore old or damaged images; removing cracks, discoloration, recreating missing sections, and more. Finally, I can also quote fully custom image manipulation projects. An example of this is photorealistic alterations for use in advertising, promotion, and architectural mockups.

Website hosting setup & management, SEO analysis, IT management/consultation This group is comprised of all of the services I offer which are not directly involving design. My understanding of web hosting and SEO should come as no surprise. My understanding of these comes from both experience and my own personal interest in learning the nuances in managing each.

My IT background stems from a life-long fascination with computers and technology. I am CompTIA A+ certified and have a decade of experience in building and maintaining computer hardware. I am confident that I can support any needs for individuals or small businesses. In this regard, I have managed servers for multi-platform environments and both Windows and Mac systems for business use.
